And I could see the future of my daughters mourning me.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eIn order to navigate the chaos of emotions amongst the logistics of flying overseas \u0026amp; leaving behind my breastfed baby — I saw anew the anchors my motherhood was from a personal perspective as I left my two girls behind to attend the funeral.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThese ideas of chaos \u0026amp; anchors amongst that ‘mess’ is the core theme of all my works.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe mess of colours and marks that I explore with layers of acrylic paint \u0026amp; pen, splattered on the canvas in wild abandon! Grief and joy. Chaos and structure\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe past, represented by my grandmother, serves as an anchor as we grieve the loss while also joyfully celebrating her legacy.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eWith my daughters as anchors for the future as they create their stories.
