Halos made of Hope carries both the grit and the grace of life. The sprays of dots and intricate marks speak to the raw texture of our lived experience — the messy, chaotic experiences & stories that leave their mark on us. And yet, spiraling through the centre are luminous rings, like halos, a reminder to look even at the shadows through the lens of hope.
The deep indigos and moody blues cradle bursts of colour within, echoing the truth that light can still emerge from turmoil. Tiny constellations of dots invite you to come closer, to linger, to notice how beauty often hides within the fragments.
Halos Made of Hope is both grounding and transcendent. A meditation on resilience, mindfulness, and the quiet radiance that can be found when we choose to see differently.

Born in a rush of clarity, this painting arrived faster than any I’ve ever created.
I remember the intuitive nudge to ‘play with greens’
Deep forest emeralds and layered textures evoke that “in-between” space—where you’ve left behind what no longer serves you but haven’t yet reached where you’re hoping to be
A reminder that in stillness, that in between space, wisdom awaits

While I painted this, I could feel how deeply my children & motherhood shaped the way it came through — the bold, messy, fearless energy of raising children and being reshaped in the process.
That same fierce tenderness lives in the work.
And maybe that’s what this painting is really about: the beauty of presence, the sacred discomfort of growth and the quiet strength it takes to keep offering hope — especially when it’s inconvenient or unexpected.
There are small, dainty details in this piece that I feel quietly proud of — gold sprays and dotwork that took time and steady focus.
Letting myself slow down enough to place them became its own kind of meditation.
A way to quiet the noise and surrender to the tiny progress unfolding in front of me.
And in contrast to the softer palette, there are darker, more intense passages — layered, assertive, textured. That tension lives inside the work too. Just like growth: gentle and fierce. Slow and sudden. Quiet and powerful.
This lady has been very patient waiting for her forever home. I feel like there will be a sense of recognition for whomever claims her

This piece will always be cherished for the memory it holds—a warm day when my little one reminded me I’d promised she could “help mummy paint.”
So I opened a fresh canvas and let her in.
It carries that sense of intentional surrender. I’m not usually one to let anyone into my creative process, yet this kid knows how to truly flow and trust her instincts. The rosy hue reminds me of my maternal grandmother, tying the work to generations of feminine wisdom — flow, surrender, and creation.
Rosy Reverie feels like time travel across motherhood and memory — a reminder of the beauty found in letting go and allowing what is meant to be unfold.

The Soul Seed Series began when I looked at my large signature paintings and wondered: What is within those 'spirals' if we zoomed in?
What are the initial seeds and intentions that sprouts into the unfolding stories that are seen in my signature artworks?
These Soul Seeds is full of the chaotic colours and marks like all the potential and possibility that seeds hold.
The repetitive patterns and lines hold that tension as outlines barely holding in what wants to burst out of those seeds. Each line, each repeated mark honors those daily, simple steps that is taken in order to plant those seeds and allow it to grow.
Those repeated marks may be unseen, until you look closer. Just like many of the moments & actions we take is easily dismissed as mundane & simple but it all adds up into the complex & majestic 'oak trees' of our lives

What if we’re living in the “those were the good times” right now?
What if God has something abundantly more amazing & beautiful than we can imagine prepared for us?

Quiet Becoming, Radiant Unfolding is the quiet one that just falls into place beautifully while you’re busy focused on other things. The one that did all the “right” things without complaint or fanfare…but she’s ready to be truly SEEN
She is ready to shine from within, all the wisdom & beauty she has to offer as her fullest self.

When you’re feeling ugly and unworthy, you need someone to polish off the mud to reveal the gold underneath.
We need those people who ‘adjust our crowns’ — seeing what you cannot and wanting for us to shine brighter. Like, deep down you know that brilliance is there, but some days it’s harder to see it and even harder to summon it out.
Like a fun house mirror but only reflecting back anew, the good, the gold, the beautiful within you — something that was always there but you couldn’t see it until it was reflected back to you.
Reflections Anew is that reminder: We all need those beautiful people in our lives. We all can be those mirrors for others.
To see the divine light within even while seeing the mess AND to see the possibility of even more good to come.

Carousel of Courage is for the one who knows there cannot be bravery without fear. Just as change always comes with grief, even if it's the change you've been waiting for. A carousel spins and it's both fun AND scary just as courage can be too.
I was thinking of how Courage is a crown we, as a society, don't value as much as we should. We only celebrate it for big moments or for physical or patriarchal achievements but we overlook the small rides of courage.
The reluctant courage to surrender something that is still good, to make space in faith for something great.
The courage to be bold despite the risk of rejection
The quiet courage to believe in hope again even after a devastation
This will be an invitation to step forward boldly in your living spaces, an anchor of Courage & strength as you face life's challenges
You are loved. You are seen. You are known.

Wildness of Renewal is for the one who knows there is beauty in the storms of change in life. It is a dance between the swirl of soft colours with the intensity of the feature spiral.
There is always chaos when we undergo a renewal, changing from the old into the new while bringing the lessons along with us.
This will be a wild presence in your home as a spiritual anchor to the wisdom you have gained from all you've been through
You are loved. You are seen. You are known.

Inspired by the journey to my new home studio, after extensive renovations throughout the toughest lockdowns in Melbourne, it reflects the battle & celebration of ‘Coming Home’
There is a sense of celebration, to finally reach a much awaited destination — simultaneously, there is also grief of all that was lost. The past battles fought to reach the present reconnects to future challenges to come.
That time travel of past, present & future + the connection of love & grief and sense of ‘coming home’ to both a physical place as well as an internal homecoming are continuous themes in my current collection of work

Being stuck at home during one of the strictest lockdown restrictions in the world…I’ve had to truly stretch my creative muscles to find inspiration locally. To lean deeper into nature.
I love that it’s a colour I’m not that comfortable with — green. It’s a colour I have been playing with more to get ‘use to’ it as part of my visual palette. Even though I’m surrounded by greenery in the suburbs where we live.
I also love how nature has pops of contrasts in flowers and berries. It isn’t the neon brights that I love…but it reminds me that nature has the mastery of colour with her subtle nuance changes in shade & tone. While still keeping it interesting by throwing in the unexpected contrast.
Kinda like how life & Mother nature has thrown us into an unexpected world with COVID-19 & the contrast we are experiencing in our lives.

Colour for me is like music for an event. It alters the moods, it gives personality to the ambience. It can uplift or dampen spirits. It tells the story beyond words. This Soulful Spiral is a carnival of play & unravelling. She can sweet & fierce, facetious & solemn.
I hope she reminds you to find joy in the duality of play & purpose

I love my watercolour spirals but I struggle with using paper because it ends up being very costly & delicate to frame and arrange shipping for my collectors.
So I investigated & researched into other ways I could create with my watercolour Soulful Spirals style with a substrate that didn't require framing behind glass to maintain archival quality & protection.
I found a new clay substrate called Aquabord. It's a clay coated panel & it mimics similar qualities to paper for water-soluable paint.
It isn't the same as paper, so I found myself learning YET ANOTHER new language as I found my way around the Aquabord.
It required me to slow even further down. It required me to use all the patience & planning I learnt with the paper Soulful Spirals.
It challenged me to find new marks & ways to hold my brush, lay down colour & dance with the whole process.
It was a balance of finding a new way to say what I want to say with brush & paint while allowing it to flow and move and showcase in its own unique style.
So far, I am LOVING what I can create in this series.
The name 'COLOURS OF JOY' just came to me out of the blue & I don't know how I know, but I just knew that was the name of the series. (don't you love that?!)

This one feels like a capture of the many joys found in nature. Whether it's the ocean blues & greens as the waves crash onto shore
Or the fluttering of the leaves in the wind during the many walks I've been taking as the one source of freedom during this COVID-19 restriction season.
Or the quiet stillness of a sunrise, the glitter of morning dew on the grass, the golden hue that the clouds have. Reminding me of the joys of God's creation, the miracles we get to witness daily.

You'll see the different days & natural light change over many days. There was a alot of spinning this around to get the flow of those 'leaf' shapes just right.
In the middle there was the slightly lower resolution from the livestream I did of painting this LIVE! You may have seen it on Instagram
If you didn't, just know it is a slow & deliberate process.
What the timelapse doesn't capture is the time inbetween. It cuts out the many pauses to look & wait for inspired direction. There is a lot of silent periods of just my hand waiting and doing nothing.
It is a slow & quiet process!
I love using the ethereal nature of watercolours, with it’s vibrant transparency & create a sense of thick outpouring of chaos & detail. For me joy is about choosing the simple things AND the maximalist layering of ALL THE THINGs & allowing oneself to immerse in the ocean of it all.

So far, I am LOVING what I can create in this series.
The name 'COLOURS OF JOY' just came to me out of the blue & I don't know how I know, but I just knew that was the name of the series. (don't you love that?!)

Trust you are divinely loved.
You are wise and have the answers.
You are called to bring beauty & light to the world.
Commit to connect with your soul and build a deep relationship within to KNOW your path.
Your calling as Artist needs this connection, it is your JOB to bring this soul calling to life as your art. (Even if the title scares you, your calling still calls!) Your art may be a
painting
cake
book
song
business
family
community
movement
a rose garden
or a smile & shoulder for those in pain
It will be a collaborative effort of you & soul & God & the magic that comes from that connection
What is your art for this season?

🎨CHOOSE your joy 🎨
I was never good at just following joy for the sake of joy. Achievement. Earning the reward. Winning after hard work & hustle⠀
Then motherhood came along & the mama guilt hit hard.⠀
Surely if I did everything perfectly, my child would be safe & thrive?⠀
Surely if I sacrificed & suffered I would be rewarded with a healthy baby & a sense of worthiness to be a mother?⠀
⠀
It has been an adventure in learning & unlearning. Of digging deep & recognising old habits. Finding old stories that don’t fit & choosing a new one.⠀
⠀
Is this something you need to choose too?⠀
⠀
Choose to find the fun in fulfilment.⠀
Play in purpose. It’s a balance of push & surrender. Surfing the flow & release⠀
⠀
Choose delight AS the barometer for steps forward.⠀
Joy as the strategy.⠀
Sometimes this looks like ease & feeling good.⠀
Sometimes this looks like late nights to get that inspired idea out & early morning cuddles with sick babies⠀
⠀
It leads to the vibe you want. Purpose. Thriving. Adventure. Connected. Fulfilled. Creative.⠀
⠀
It leads to the kind of light you shine & energy you exude.⠀
It leads to finding your voice & the art that you’re meant to make⠀

🎨CHOOSE your sacred medicine🎨
(Click above to see video details)
Creativity can be a pleasure or a pain.
It can be a hobby or a calling.
It is a habit. It is innate in us all
It can also be our sacred medicine
To soothe. To give counsel. To connect us within, with others, with God. To find joy & comfort. To give life & destroy
My creative work is all those things. But choosing to make it my sacred medicine - for myself AND for the world?
It elevates everything to a higher connection.
It deepens the depths of understanding life & faith & joy & love. It widens my view of self & community
What creative work are you already doing that you can choose to elevate, deepen & widen into sacred medicine?

🎨CHOOSE your story🎨
I’m running so late today. Sleep ins. Slow breakfasts. Dragging of feet & putting on of shoes. Birds to point out, songs to be sung correctly before we can keep going etc etc... It’s a day of running behind!
Or
It’s a day of purpose & pauses today...I know not why or when but these divine delays & missed opportunities are making room for something better.
Even if it’s listening to my 2yr old serenade me in the back seat & telling stories about the birds flying overhead.
It’s a day of divine interruption for conversations & connection

🎨CHOOSE your focus🎨
When you get an idea and it feels exciting & lights up your curiousity... then you get the Resistance smack down.
What if you suck? What if you fail? Who are you to dare? You can’t. There’s too much already. You don’t know enough. Etc etc
Yup! Totally felt all those things when I started this daily painting month mission! These are the words I need to hear. Maybe you do too?
Choose your focus. Yes there is a lot to take in. Yes chaos can be overwhelming. Yes it’s scary facing the unknown. And it is painful to fail.
Focus on the excitement. Focus on that spark of curiosity & fun.
Focus on those butterflies of hope & possibility
Focus on baby steps.
Focus on courage & cultivating that curiosity. It trumps fear & overwhelm every time.
Focus on that little still voice that is calling you to bring it to life.
Focus on that little voice assuring you that you will be given the strength & support you need

🎨CHOOSE your voice🎨
(Click above to see video details)
Use it or lose it.
Use it often.
Be willing to flail and sound weird and feel awkward as you oil up the parts of you that has been silenced.
Be willing to make “crappy” art to find the 10% that is salvageable and feels unique to you AND you are willing and able to repeat again.
Repeat it again anyway even if it’s not quite right
The best way to find your voice is to use it.
Trying on other voices can help you work out what doesn’t work, what feels familiar, what feels close.
One clue will lead to the next. As long as you use it. Despite how strange it may feel at first.
Don’t be a copy of someone else. Don’t be an echo.
Choose your voice

My integrity to self. My reverence to myself & the divine⠀
Removing all the baggage & burdens I chose to take on as expectations and assumptions.⠀
Or I have unknowingly carried as beliefs⠀
Or I have knowingly chosen to keep despite the lies & lack of service to my purpose⠀
⠀
Choosing to let them go⠀
⠀
Choosing to detect & dig deep for ones that doesn’t belong or no longer serves me⠀

Choosing to practice & discern the difference⠀

I love the masculine energy of lists and productivity and accomplishments. I’ve had to work hard at choosing my softness.
Without the hardness of protection & walls.
Without detachment & “she’ll be alright” or “I’m fine”
It’s a constant practice!
To find strength in softness
To find power in surrender
To find connection while immersed in an ocean of feelings and vulnerability...

What you plant is what you grow.⠀ ⠀
You can’t get there by still being ‘emerging’ or ‘working on’ getting over there while still being here. ⠀ ⠀ The apple tree isn’t an apple tree AFTER bearing fruit that is an apple...⠀
It grows apples by BEING an apple tree⠀ ⠀
Want to be a painter? Paint⠀
Want to be a writer? Write⠀
Want to feel joyful & creative? BE joyful & creative in whatever you’re doing today⠀ ⠀
If you were already confident & clear what would you do next?
Do that.⠀
THEN you will grow fruits of confidence & clarity⠀ ⠀
Act as you want to once ‘you are done.’ ⠀ ⠀
But it’s never done.

The good news is that you get to practice this daily in big or small ways.⠀ ⠀

🎨CHOOSE your moment🎨
Some days are just one disaster after another...and that’s how you describe it.
Those disaster moments. “First the meeting was canceled then I got a parking ticket!” “There was a nappy explosion just as I was buckling her in!” “I stepped in dog poo & spilt my coffee on my fresh shirt”
-
I saw the most beautiful symphony of pinks & blues as the sun was setting.
One of those breathtaking-stop-you-in-your-tracks- “even if you’re not an artist” kinda display
It wasn’t the “best” day. But choosing that moment? It kinda was.

The blue twin to no.50 — I tried to push my comfort zone with the number of layers for the background wash.
Experimenting with the paper to see how it holds. It gives it a stuffy, thicker feel to the colours - the 640gsm holds up AMAZING.

This one has a ‘mistake’ which led one thing to another and now if it weren’t for the ‘trying to hide the mistake’ it wouldn’t have the magic it has.
Also, it feels like the flittery feathers of birds that we saw in Hawaii that felt like home but different.

A touch of Monochrome Magic for this collection of spirals.
I’ve used colours so much it’s become a comfort zone...so the occasional umcomfortable play is needed for growth & delightful surprises.
I still love a touch of gold though 🥰

Siren Song of Surrender
Two spirals emerge like voices in dialogue: light and dark, past and present, the tug of what was and the pull of what could be.
Their conversation is both tension and harmony, echoing the way life often asks us to let go of what we cannot control.
The work carries that paradox: the temptation to cling tightly versus the deeper call to release. To surrender not in defeat, but in trust—allowing expansion, flow, and unexpected beauty to arrive.
Neon bursts and delicate sprays of dots weave through layered transparencies, like music rippling through water—chaotic yet harmonious, moody yet luminous.
This is an invitation to soften, to yield, and to notice the quiet magic that reveals itself when we finally let go.
Painting details:
Size: approx 76cm x 76cm | 30" x 30"
Gallery wrapped cotton canvas. Unframed ready to hang
Satin Gloss Varnish (which gives the colours an amazing depth + protects the painting, though I would not recommend hanging it in direct sunlight -- that will make the painting sad & fade.)
